Angie Lewin | New prints
Janie Roper | New ceramics
Delicate and intriguing, Janine Roper's ceramics are inspired by imagery from museums, seeking out the unusual or even humorous. They are decorated with traditional cobalt blue, echoing domestic wares of the parlours and kitchens of the past. Janine says:
"I enjoy spending time in museums. My work is a personal response to pieces I find there; I do not attempt to imitate them, but rather take some formal details and basic shapes and translate them into my own language."
