For the final weekend of our current exhibition 'I Do & I Undo' the gallery will be open on Saturday 31st October 10-5.30pm & Sunday 1st November 11-4pm
Do & I Undo examines themes of emotion, relationships, identity, grief, sexuality and self-expression with humour, honesty, sensitivity and strength. Through diverse artistic practices, each artist offers a distinct perspective on lived experience while challenging traditional representations of femininity.
The exhibition title references the working philosophy of the late conceptual artist Louise Bourgeois, whose practice of revisiting and reworking artworks reflected an ongoing process of personal and artistic transformation. Inspired by this approach, I Do & I Undo embraces revision, reinvention and the layered nature of identity.
Exhibiting artists are Bliss Coulthard, Emily Gibbard, Heidi Inez, Erin Rosalie Thomas, Veronica Wells and Anastassia Zamaraeva.
