Merry & Bright : Annual Festive Exhibition

For the 2022 festive season we are focusing on colour, to really make the walls sing with our exhibition ‘Merry & Bright’.

We’re delighted to be introducing works by the acclaimed artist Emily Powell. Emily’s joyful works are an exuberant, explosive expression of freedom and colour. She explores several subjects, from the beautiful Devon coastline where she lives and works, to pattern, animals or surreal still life.

Exhibition highlights of ‘Merry and Bright’ include new works by Jim Whitty, renowned for his other worldly, contemporary take on British landscape; Fletcher Prentice, with striking flower-scapes inspired by his garden; printmaking by Anna Marrow, who specialises in brightly coloured silkscreen prints inspired by pop culture. There will be delicate new prints by Angie Lewin, fabulous paintings by Veronica Wells that are literally ready to party, contrasted by calming new coastal works by Amy Albright.

The gallery is already filling up with works by our loved ceramic artists, we currently have new collections from Elly Wall, Linda Bloomfield, Dawn Hajittofi, Rhian Malin, Yuta Segawa and there will be more to come – contemporary craft makes a perfect gift.
