Sarah Wiseman Gallery worked with Leila Rawlins at Han & Hall for a project in in 2021:
"We worked with The Sarah Wiseman Gallery to help source some artworks for a recently renovated penthouse in Jericho, Oxford. The flat had a modern, minimalist feel and our brief to Sarah was very simple; we were looking for big, bold splashes of colour on the walls. Sarah took the time to visit the space and thought carefully about how to incorporate pieces from the client’s existing collection alongside the newer pieces she was suggesting. She also considered how each piece would work from a distance, close up and next to other artworks in the room.
Sarah has a real passion for the artists she represents. During her conversations with us, she was able to provide detailed information on the artist’s background, education and artistic technique. She also took the time to explain the story behind each artwork, what it meant to the artist and why she felt it would work in the given space.
Once a handful of pieces had been chosen, Sarah then organised for the artworks to be viewed in situ. For any pieces the client chose to keep, she then arranged for their careful installation.
With Sarah’s guidance, knowledge and expertise, the client’s apartment has been totally transformed and we are thrilled with the results. I look forward to working with Sarah again on any future projects."
