We are embracing the visual pleasures of the season in Oxford with the current exhibition Summer Collection I at Sarah Wiseman Gallery. Bringing together Marissa Weatherhead’s abundant still-life paintings, Elaine Jones’ expressively atmospheric landscapes, Alison Pullen’s captivating interior collages, and Martha Winter’s aquatic-inspired sculptural paintings, this exhibition offers a rich and varied selection with something to delight every visitor.

In the front windows, Alison Pullen’s Radley College, Stone Hall – Son is paired with Carol Peace’s striking large-scale bronze resin sculptures, while Martha Winter’s Constant Flow is displayed alongside MapMap’s vibrant new collection of ceramics.

Along the front wall, three landscapes by Elaine Jones sit among ceramics by Linda Bloomfield, while opposite, Marissa Weatherhead’s still-life paintings are shown alongside works by Eddie Knevett. Moving through the gallery, Martha Winter’s textured sand paintings hang above Virginia Dowe Edwards’ charming ceramic dogs, leading into the back gallery where a carefully selected group of still-life paintings by Sarah Spackman is on display.

The lower gallery features Alison Pullen’s interior collages, Belinda Millar’s en plein air landscape paintings, and Mychael Barratt’s humorous artist cats and dogs prints, accompanied by ceramics from Attila Olah and Jane Muir.

Visitors are invited to explore Summer Collection I at Sarah Wiseman Gallery before the exhibition transitions to Summer Collection II in August, featuring Flora McLachlan and Charlie O'Sullivan.
