Curating Spaces | Panel Discussion at Sarah Wiseman Gallery

We are delighted to announce our forthcoming panel discussion ‘Curating Spaces’, featuring Gallery Director Sarah Wiseman, Interior Designer Nicola Mardas and Restaurateur Laura Wiedemann Together, these three professionals will dissect their curating techniques, so that you can take away inspiration on how you may do so in your space in future. The discussion will take place Thursday 25th September, 6-8pm at the gallery.  

 

Sarah opened Sarah Wiseman Gallery in 1998, and it was quickly established as a leading space for contemporary art in Oxford. Sarah has curated a varied group of artists, with an eye to individuality and technical accomplishment, reflecting her passion and commitment to contemporary art. Sarah Wiseman Gallery has built a strong reputation for ambitious and engaging exhibitions of contemporary art by established as well as emerging artists.

 

Nicola Mardas is an Interior Designer based in North Oxford. Nicola approaches each project with the belief that art should be an integral part of a home’s design. She collaborates with clients at all stages of their collecting journey, from those acquiring their first pieces to experienced collectors, ensuring that their homes are designed to complement and enhance their art collections.

 

Laura Wiedemann began her career studying textiles, then going on to work in the fashion industry developing collections for leading brands. She then went on to open French bistro restaurant, Pompette, which she has beautifully designed the interior for herself. The walls are famously salon hung with her print & painting collection, curated to maximise the diner’s experience.
