Michèle Oberdieck

Contemporary Glass

We are thrilled to announce that contemporary glass maker Michèle Oberdieck will be exhibiting at the gallery this October. Michèle specialises in glassworks inspired by natural forms and organic structures, exploring balance and asymmetry through shape, surface and colour. Using sculptural forms as a gesture, or expressive mark, often combining a few pieces together, a narrative is created.

Michèle's incredible works were selected for the prestigious 2021 Venice Glass Week, a graduate of RCA in Glass and Ceramics, she has also exhibited at the Irish Glass Biennale, Luxemborg Glass Festival and this years European Applied Art Exhibition 2021.

Sarah Wiseman Gallery carefully selects the best of contemporary craft makers to display alongside paintings creating enticing, dynamic displays to inspire.

Her beautiful glass will be displayed alongside the Jim Whitty 'Wild Tracks' exhibition. Michèle and Jim both graduated from Glasgow School of Art in the same year, so they are delighted to be exhibiting together once more!
