    This, Too, Was A Gift

We're pleased to present a collection of works by multi-media artist Erin Rosalie Thomas, including felt needling, drawing and printmaking.

Erin Rosalie Thomas is a multi-media figurative artist. Her work explores the discourse between body language, communication and connection, while engaging with contemporary ideals of feminine identity. Erin investigates interpersonal connections beyond our vanities.

Each figure is full of contention, giving subtle signs of communication through body language or facial expression. Erin explains, “The characteristics of feminine identity are constantly up for debate. By focusing too much on our vanities, we don’t pay attention to the complexities that define us, or the interpersonal relationships that enrich us. The faces & figures in my work represent the irony of the liberation and condemnation, and the variety of attitudes we face for just existing.”

Erin studied BA Fine Art at Kingston School of Art, graduating in 2020. She has since developed her practise, recently winning the ronapainting prize at the Oxford Art Society 2024 open exhibition.
