Kate Wilkinson’s jewellery is material and process led. She creates numerous sample units, before settling on one to create collections from that vary in size, shape and colour. Her jewellery is sleek yet tactile, texture playing a key role in the outcome.
Kate observes details in nature to gather her ideas, as well the urban decay which influences the textures in her jewellery. For her debut collection at Sarah Wiseman Gallery, we see pieces from the Adelpha, Athena & Willow range.
Kate studied Jewellery and Silversmithing at Loughborough College of Art and Design, followed by an MA in Jewellery at the Royal College of Art.
