We are delighted to present a new Spring collection by Emily Powell. Emily has created for us a series of joyful still life motifs in her vibrant colour palette and free brush strokes.
Emily’s paintings have a sense of nostalgia about them combined with a freedom of spirit, giving a new lease of life to everyday surroundings. She has a cheerful approach to her work:
Emily says ‘I’m all about colour, letting go and having fun. I don’t believe art has to be super serious.’
In ‘New Chapter’, we see a lively floral arrangement bursting from a bird-illustrated vase. Vibrant reds, blues, and greens mark the candy pink background and the vase sits on a checkered blue tablecloth. ‘Owls & Cinnamon Buns’ invites the viewer into a charming scene of grinning owls serving fresh cinnamon buns and hot coffee, the spread accompanied with a bouquet of spring flowers.
Emily’s animated scenes are heart warming daily moments, gentle reminders to seek pleasure in simple things. Her fresh perspective energises and uplifts.
Emily’s new collection is currently hung in the lower gallery.
We have a new collection of Keeley Traae 3D Printe eco PLA vessels in a gorgeous array of colours.
Keeley Traae explores the possibilities of digital craft through 3D printing in eco PLA, which is a biodegradable material made from 100% renewable and natural resources. The designs begin with a pencil sketch followed by the digitally crafted form.
Please note these pieces are not designed to hold water.
